How to Decal-It-Yourself

Transform your space quickly in a way that expresses your personality!

Step 1 : Cut out the art decals

Depending on how you would like to decorate your surface using the art decals, cut them into smaller pieces if need be. For a Wall Message decal, you may not need to do so.

Step 2 : Clean the surface

Wipe the surface you will be putting the decals on and let dry completely.

Step 3 : Decide positioning

You may wish to tape the decals temporarily on the surface using masking tapes to locate the ideal position.

Step 4 : Remove white decal backing

Once you have decided on the position, take the decals down and rub it firmly on a hard surface with our ArtiTool. SLOWLY peel away the white backing paper and make sure the decals now adhere to the transparent tape instead.

Step 5 : Burnish decal on the surface

Use the ArtiTool to firmly rub down the entire surface of transparent tape to transfer the decal onto the surface and to remove any air bubbles.

Step 6 : Peel away the transparent tape

Carefully peel away the transparent tape to reveal the art decals which are now transferred onto the surface! Should certain part of the art decals get peeled away along with the tape, lay the tape back for that part and use the ArtiTool to rub again before peeling.

Repeat steps 1 - 6 for all decals.

More tips!

1. Depending on the design of your decals, you may receive them divided in different parts to make your installation easier. Install the bigger parts first.

2. Take some measures on your wall before installing the decals for better result and you may even make some marks with a pencil help in the alignment and distribution of the decals.

3. If some bubbles appear on the installed decal, use a needle to make a hole and your finger or ArtiTool to put some pressure to push out the air. If there are wrinkles, try to peel the decal slowing to straighten it and re-stick onto the surface. Alternatively, you can use a penknife to make a small slit to flatten the wrinkles.

4. Installed decals cannot be removed for re-using.

Removing decals

Simply lift up the corner of each decal slowing using a penknife or your fingernail, then start peeling slowly. The art decal will not leave behind any mark on your surface.

You can now re-express your space with another Artitude art!

How to display Aritutude Art Canvas

Hang them!

Choose a spot on a wall that you like and hammer in the provided nail to hang each canvas. For multiple pieces of canvas, we would recommend leaving a gap of about 1 - 2 cm between each piece!
